Celebrating 60 years in 2018
St Peters Lutheran School has been providing a Christian education for children from Dimboola and surrounding districts since 1958.
Our school is unique as it is a small school with small classes and a low teacher to pupil ratio. This creates a sense that the school is a family with a personal and caring approach. We are well equipped with updated resources including computers and interactive whiteboards in each class.
St Peters offers a safe Christian environment that endeavours to provide a diverse learning environment that nurtures mutual respect, love and care.
Over recent years we have upgraded a range of facilities, with the most notable being a new synthetic playground surface and basketball court, new computers and iPads for students to use in class.
At St Peters Lutheran Primary School we have a rigorous and challenging curriculum. Our experienced and carefully appointed teachers have a wide range of expertise, skills and knowledge which we have incorporated into our broad and stimulating curriculum.

From Our Principal
Hello everyone, welcome back to school, yes it is term 4. I hope that you all had a wonderful break and were able to spend time relaxing and catching up with family and friends. We have had a wonderful taste of some warmer spring weather this week and have also had some excitement in the school yard. On Monday we had a large swarm of bees make our weeping mulberry their home. It was very interesting watching the swarm in action, however we did have them removed by an Apiarist from the Grampians. Thank you to Jo and her husband Matthew for taking the bees safely away.
Yesterday we all walked down to DPS for our Walk to School BBQ organised by the Hindmarsh council. After lunch we all participated in a variety of fun activities and enjoyed the fruit platter. We thank Michelle Farinha for organising another wonderful event.
As you would be aware this term includes many exciting opportunities for our students. We have the junior class sleepover this Friday night at school, then book week including grandparent’s day in week 3 of this term. In week 7 on Tuesday the 20th November we will be starting our Prep transition days which will continue each Tuesday, 27th November, 4th December and concluding on Tuesday the 11th December with the state wide transition day.
With the 60th celebrations just around the corner, please make note that on Saturday the 3rd November from 11:00am-2:00pm we will have our school open to both the general public and also those who have travelled for the 60th celebrations. It will be advertised as an ‘Open Day’ here locally as a part of the 60th celebrations.
Some of our school students will be taking visitors on a tour through our school grounds. There will be a free sausage sizzle, face painting and games in our school grounds. On Sunday the 4th November there is a church service at 11:00am here at St Peters Lutheran Church in which our students will be involved with leading some songs and bible readings. Followed by lunch in the church hall. Please come along and be a part of these special celebrations.
New enrolments for 2019 are being taken and it is encouraging to see that we already have several prep students enrolling for next year. Please come in and see Mrs Walters in the front office if you require further information or documents. Pre- enrolling at this time is a way to ensure that your child/ children and their needs can be considered prior to the New Year. Please encourage anyone that is interested to come along on Saturday the 3rd of November and have a tour, a sausage, get their face painted and have a good look around.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Yours in Christ
