At St. Peters Lutheran Primary School we have a rigorous and challenging curriculum. Our experienced and carefully appointed teachers have a wide range of expertise, skills and knowledge which we have incorporated into our broad and stimulating curriculum. The following specialist subjects are offered as part of our holistic curriculum;
Music has the capacity to engage, inspire and enrich all students, exciting the imagination and encouraging students to reach their creative and expressive potential. At St. Peters we teach skills and techniques developed through participation in music, allowing students to manipulate, express and share sounds as performers, listener, composers and students. Students develop an aesthetic appreciation of music through our music program.
From Prep through to year six student explore visual arts, learning to make visual representations of their ideas, experiences, observations and imagination. As students grow and develop skills in representation, they learn to respond to visual arts independently and collaboratively, with peers, teachers and the community. Our wonderful art work can be seen displayed on campus as well as at our annual Dimboola show.
Health and Physical Education
Our Health and Physical Education Curriculum teaches students how to enhance their own and others' health, safety and well -being through active participation in our varied program. We focus on nutrition, well- being and safe and active choices. Through our Phys-ed program we invite specialist coaches to the school to teach various disciplines such as Tae Kwon Do, volley-ball, hockey and gymnastics. Team building activities are integral to all our physical education lessons. Our coaches inspire students to try new things and promote physical activity. Each year we try something new.
Your child's emotional well- being is paramount at St. Peters Lutheran School. Every child is unique and we take great pride in the ability of our staff to understand and address the needs and progress of every student. Our small classes are conducive to our staff providing an environment where students feel safe, nurtured, recognised and affirmed. We encourage and support physical growth through our structured Christian Education Studies and our chapel Service, which uphold our Lutheran values;
